What a Storm!!

The Kennedy Space Center in florida built a space shuttle called Atlantis. the external fuel tank attached to the shuttle Atlantis and possibly the orbiter itself, were damaged by a hailstorm at the launch pad Monday afternoon. Shuttle Atlantis was supposed to luanch on March 15. But unfortenly the damage caused by the hailstorm the luanch is delayed. NASA meterologists at pad 39A obsereved wind gusts of 62 miles per hour and golf-sized hail. Pad 39A, was where Atlantis was undergoing final preperations for launch. The workers at Kennedy Space Center are still observing the damages the awful hailstorm left to the shuttle. The Program Officals hope that all the damage will repaired by late April or May. The initial inspections showed that maybe many small diviots went into the insulating foam on the top portion of the shuttle's external tank.
I think that it is a good thing that they strted inspecting because I'm sure they didn't want their shuttle exploding all of sudden like the Columbia shuttle.

Antarctic ice melt reveals exotic creatures

Recently, glaciologists discovered strange creatures in ice. Two enormous ice shelves collapsed in the Antarctic. One collapsed 12 years ago and another collapsed in 2002. "These kind of collapses are expected to happen more," Gauthier Chapelle of the Polar Foundation in Brussels said. "What we're observing here is probably going to happen elsewhere around Antarctica." The ice collapsed because of global warming. global warming seems to be the only reason why the huge ice shelves collapsed. Chapelle and 14 other scientists traveled to the Antarctic Peninsula. they drilled holes in the ice to see what lies beneath. they found blue ice fish, with dorsal fins like ribbed fans and blood that lacks red cells, an adaptation that makes the blood more fluid and easier to pump through the animal's body, conserving energy at low temperatures. Long-limbed sea stars, some with more than the usual five appendages, mingled with the ice fish. also groups of sea cucumbers were observed moving together, all in one direction.
I think that it is very odd to find such strange looking creatures in deep freezing water. I think the cause of global warming is because of the pollution in the air. That's probably why the huge ice shelves melted. And the pollution is mainly caused by the gas from cars, factories, etc. if I could I would try to invent something that replaces gas, so you can't cause pollution. If I was a president I would pass a law stating that it is illegal to use gas. And I will tell them to use something else if they really needed it.
