Who: Albert Rizzo, works in the school of engineering at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
What: A pogram called Virtual Classroom and a related pogram called Virtual Office. With this pogram you can view a real classroom with a special pair of bulky goggles.
Where: University of Southern California, Los Angles.
Why: Wearing virtual-reality gear, you can find yourself sitting in a classroom, touring a famous museum, wandering across a weird landscape, zooming into space, or playing with a cartoon character. You don't have to leave your room. Movie directors and viedo game producers have been using computers for special effects, a long time. Some companies are now building three-dimensional fantasy worlds in which players, linked by computer networks, appear to meet and go on quests together. Thanks to this new technology they can do that.
My Opinion: I think that would be reaaly cool. This way we can stay at home while we "virtually" go to school. This also help movie directors and viedo game producers improve their movies.
